The source of the large number of Bolstridges in the USA can be
generally traced back to just 5 immigrants during the 19th
century. The name form generally found is that of Bolstridge indicating
that the origin was likely to be Northumberland, Bedworth or Nottingham. Bolestridges found in Vermont, New York and New Jersey are likely to be
descended from

Bolestridge who
