Nailstone / Barlestone Connections
| James Boulstridge who was born in Ratcliffe Culey in 1862 moved about quite
a bit. By 1888 he was resident in the Barlestone/Nailstone area. A
groom and waggoner by trade he was also an accomplished ploughman winning local
competitions at the turn of the century. The availability of colliery work at the end of the 19th century meant that James' children remained in that general area although James himself moved the Netherseal Derbyshire in later life with his second wife. Many Boulstridges in the Market Bosworth and Coalville areas are decended from James |
